A snake makes its way carefully through the partly crumbled remains of an old stone wall. Is it benign? Dangerous? Threatened? Threatening? The snake's lively movement contrasts with the ancient stones of the wall. The squared shape and dark patina of the piece suggest machinery.
This ring is solid and substantial. It was made using the ancient lost-wax casting method. Only one model was made, and it was destroyed as part of the casting process. Hand carved by me in my Connecticut studio, the ring is one of a kind.
Argentium sterling silver is a tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic, nickel-free metal. It is made from recycled silver and contains more pure silver than regular sterling (94% vs. 92.5%).
