Handmade jewelry is always special, but handmade jewelry in solid gold is on another level. I made this ring entirely by hand in my studio in Clinton, Connecticut. It is solid 14 karat gold and a U.S. size 7. The band has a subtle, lightly hammered texture.
Did you know that sapphires come in every color except red? (Why not red? When they're red, we call them rubies.) This sapphire is grass green. It is a natural, round, brilliant-cut faceted stone, earth mined. The sapphire was heated to enhance color but is otherwise untreated.
