Handmade jewelry is special; handmade solid gold jewelry is something else again. This dainty pendant was entirely handmade by me in my studio in Clinton, Connecticut. It is solid 14 karat gold throughout.
The sapphire cabochon is a natural, earth-mined stone, heated for color. The color is "banded" (dispersed in different concentrations in different parts in the stone) and ranges from bright cobalt blue to a lighter blue. The interior coloring of the stone resembles brush strokes.
