Utter simplicity and high drama in one lightweight package. These earrings begin with a hammered hoop (secured with a silicone earring back), continue with a long hammered drop, and end in a sparkly pink-peach Padparadscha sapphire. The sapphires are lab grown. So much sparkle! Sapphire is the birthstone for September.
These earrings were entirely handmade by me in my Connecticut studio. Each element began as a piece of silver wire, which I then cut, shaped, beaded with my torch, hammered, and polished.
Argentium sterling silver is a hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant type of sterling silver with more fine silver than regular sterling (94% vs. 92.5%). It remains durable even when coaxed into the most delicate structures--which means that these earrings are as lightweight as they can be.
