Utter simplicity and high drama in one lightweight package. These earrings begin with a hammered hoop (secured with a silicone earring back), continue with a long hammered drop, and end in a sparkly, orange-yellow microfaceted citrine. So much sparkle! Citrine is a birthstone for November.
These earrings were entirely handmade by me in my Connecticut studio. Each element began as a piece of silver wire, which I then cut, shaped, beaded with my torch, hammered, and polished.
Argentium sterling silver is a hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant type of sterling silver with more fine silver than regular sterling (94% vs. 92.5%). It remains durable even when coaxed into the most delicate structures--which means that these earrings are as lightweight as they can be.
