Handmade, hand-hammered, and the little stirrups for the garnets were handmade as well. All work was done by me in my Connecticut studio. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the most beautiful rhodolite garnet beads I have ever seen. They look like pomegranate seeds. They are a remarkably clear, slightly purplish red. Dangling from long curves of hammered argentium sterling silver, they combine subtlety with panache.
Argentium sterling silver has a high pure silver content (94%, vs. 92.5% for ordinary sterling). The silver is 100% recycled. Argentium is tarnish-resistant due to a patented hypoallergenic formula. It finishes hard and is as suitable for everyday wear as platinum or white gold.
