The two curves that frame these sparkly little peridots move independently, swinging open and back in place as momentum and gravity dictate. The peridots are a bright spring green with gold undertones. Peridot is the birthstone for August.
Entirely handmade by me in my Connecticut studio: Each silver element in these earrings started out as a plain piece of silver wire, which I then twisted, bent, beaded up with my torch, and hammered into shape. Organic geometry. Lightweight.
Argentium sterling silver is an extremely hypoallergenic variation on sterling. It contains more fine silver than regular sterling silver does (94% vs. 92.5%). It resists tarnishing and exhibits considerable durability.
