Dainty pink red spinel stacking ring in argentium silver, artisan made, tiny, cabochon, ruby
Dainty pink red spinel stacking ring in argentium silver, artisan made, tiny, cabochon, ruby
A gorgeous saturated pinkish red spinel glows in this stacking ring. The low profile bezel setting and the rounded shank make this ring comfortable to wear as well as lovely to look at. This tiny stacking ring can be paired with any of the stacking rings in my shop, or it can be worn alone for subtle drama.
Spinels are a beautiful and very rare gemstone with a high degree of hardness. Until recently, spinels were often mistaken for rubies. The "Black Prince's Ruby" at the center of the crown worn by English monarchs is actually a spinel. Unlike most other gemstones, spinels are "singly refractive," which means that they sparkle only with their own exquisite colors rather than producing a rainbow effect. What you see with a spinel is a rich, single color.
I use only argentium sterling silver in my jewelry. Argentium sterling silver is a hypoallergenic alloy of silver. It contains more pure silver than sterling (93.5%). It contains no nickel. It is very durable, and, unlike sterling silver, it is tarnish-resistant.
This ring is one of a kind. If you like it but would love something slightly different, let me know! I'm happy to take custom orders.
