Handmade by me in my Connecticut studio, this hammered pure copper jardiniere or plant pot features drainage holes and matching saucer. The interior of the pot is lightly sealed, but can be polished to remove the sealant or can be sealed completely, depending on your preferences and the copper needs of your plant. The pot can also be used with a liner. The exterior of the pot features a verdigris patina in shades of gray, green, and aqua blue over a lightly aged copper ground. A large and functional pot that makes a strong statement. Made by gradually hammering a flat sheet of copper over rounded stakes (the ancient technique known as hammer raising).
