The "bubbles" are made by heating scrap silver until the pieces adhere and form a ball. For this ring, the first bubble was fused to the shaft, and then a second bubble was set on top of it. The shaft is square, filed smooth and comfortable on the inside, and finished with a hammered texture. The result is a striking, sleek, organic shape, perfect as a statement ring or alternative engagement ring.
No solder was used in making these rings. The different components were heat-fused to each other directly. If you are sensitive to the metals found in solder, these may be the rings for you!
I use only argentium silver in my jewelry. Argentium silver is a hypoallergenic alloy of silver. It contains more pure silver than sterling (93.5%). It contains no nickel. It is very durable, and, unlike sterling silver, it is tarnish-resistant.
